Believe Ambassador Training

A powerful training programme is giving professionals and passionate individuals the tools to transform lives. The Believe Ambassador Training, delivered by Her Place, is enabling delegates to step into a vital role—supporting mums and pregnant women at risk of having their children removed under Child Protection Plans.

The one-day hybrid training is more than just a course—it’s a call to action. With the growing need for trauma-informed, non-judgemental support for women in crisis, the Believe Ambassador programme provides the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to make a meaningful difference.

A Toolkit for Change

The course offers a comprehensive introduction to the Believe programme. It includes everything a new Ambassador needs to begin delivering support right away:

  • A facilitator manual offering clear, step-by-step guidance
  • Handouts and interactive tools tailored to the unique needs of mums and pregnant women in crisis
  • Access to the Believe online platform—a digital hub for downloadable resources, training materials, and continuous learning
  • Pre-course videos to ensure all participants are well-prepared and confident on the day of training

Once trained, Believe Ambassadors are licensed to deliver the programme independently and use the Believe Toolkit as part of their work with women navigating the complexities of the child protection system.

Who Is It For?

The training is ideal for:

  • Professionals working in social care, mental health, women’s services, early help, or criminal justice
  • Individuals with lived experience who want to give back and support others
  • Charities, community groups, and voluntary organisations committed to family preservation and early intervention

“This training gives people the tools to walk alongside women when they need it most,” says Kate Blakemore, CEO of Her-Place Charitable Trust. “It’s about offering hope and practical support at a time when everything else feels uncertain.”

Training Details and Cost

The one-day session is delivered both in person and via Zoom, offering flexibility and accessibility to participants across the UK.

  • Cost: £500 for organisations | £350 for individuals
  • First intake payment plans are available to ensure cost is not a barrier

Participants will leave equipped to support vulnerable mothers in a trauma-informed, strengths-based way—becoming part of a growing network of Believe Ambassadors working to change outcomes for families.
