Her-Place launches ‘Her Social’ – bringing women together for evenings of friendship, fun and connection

Her-Place Charitable Trust is launching a brand-new programme of evening events at its new Women’s Centre in Crewe, creating a welcoming social space where women can come together, make new connections and enjoy doing something a little different.

Her Social has been created with a simple idea at its heart: sometimes women just need a place to come together.

Whether you are looking to meet new people, try a new hobby, enjoy an evening out with friends or simply spend some time in the company of like-minded women, Her Social will offer a varied programme of events throughout the year.

The programme will include a wide variety of evenings, from Meet the Author events and book-related evenings to flower arranging and creative activities, with more events being added regularly.

For most events, women will be welcome to bring their own bottle and nibbles, creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere where conversations can flow and friendships can grow.

Georgie Kay Philips, Operations Manager of Her-Place Charitable Trust, said:

“We wanted to create something that was simply about women coming together and having a good time.

“Our new Women’s Centre is a space for women and girls to find support when they need it, but we also want it to be somewhere where women can laugh, chat, learn something new and make friendships.

“Her Social is about creating those opportunities. You might come along because you love books, want to have a go at flower arranging, fancy trying something creative or simply because you want to meet some new people.

“You don’t need to know anyone when you arrive. Just come along, grab a drink, get chatting and see where the evening takes you!”

The events are also helping to make a difference beyond the evening itself.

All money raised through Her Social will go directly towards supporting Her-Place’s work with women and girls, helping the charity provide its range of free support, activities and safe spaces to those who need them most.

Georgie added:

“What makes Her Social really special for me is that while you’re enjoying an evening out, you’re also helping another woman or girl.

“Every ticket helps us continue our work, whether that’s supporting a woman through a difficult time, helping a young woman build her confidence, providing a safe space or simply making sure someone knows that they are not alone.

“So come along, bring your friends, meet some new ones and have some fun, because doing something good for yourself can also do something good for someone else.”

Her Social events will take place at the Her-Place Women’s Centre in Crewe, with new events announced throughout the year.

Women can follow Her-Place on social media or visit the Her-Place website to find out about upcoming events and book their place.
